Emily's B & B is located in the former Ulkuniemi school on the Ulkuniemi peninsula, alongside local route 944 in Kemijärvi county and 26 kilometers south of the City of Kemijärvi. The peninsula is surrounded by the waters of Kemijärvi lake and several bays and has a public swimming beach and several boat slips about 100 meters from the school.
The causeways connecting the peninsula and the nearby Lautasalmi island to the mainland offer panoramic views of the lake and nearby farms and forests as well as many excellent fishing spots. The surrounding fells and forests contain mushrooms and a variety of berries at different times of the year. During the winter there is a nearby ski track as well as several skiable skimobile paths on the lake.
Because Emily's is at the Arctic Circle (dotted line on the map) the area experiences both the Midnight Sun of Summer and the Northern Lights of Winter.
Opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing, berry and mushroom picking, nature walks, skiing, husky safaris, midwinter moonlight walks on the frozen lake, and photo safaris all year round. We are open all year long!

Emily's has two units, one is an efficiency apartment located on the second floor, which has a large single room, a fully equipped kitchen and a toilet.
The second unit is a spacious two room apartment on the first floor, with a fully equipped kitchen and a toilet. The sauna and shower are located in the cellar.
